ChanLab is an offline learning app about Chan theory and chart structure. This policy describes version 1.0. The operator name used in this version is ChanLab, the app name; this is a default designation rather than a verified legal entity. Last updated: 8 November 2026.
The app saves completed lessons, bookmarks, your typed learning notes, practice marks and results, attempt dates, virtual replay orders and the replay cursor. This information is stored in the app’s local UserDefaults container to provide the learning features you choose. It is not sent to us or included in legal-page requests.
Version 1.0 has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, third-party login, payment SDK or live market feed. The app connects to our public legal website only when you open Privacy, Terms or Support. We do not collect, upload, sell, share or use your learning information for advertising or profiling. We do not use tracking identifiers or ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or photo-library access in this version. Camera and microphone purpose descriptions are present in the project for possible future user-initiated chart or audio notes, but no capture feature is enabled. A future version that adds such a feature must explain the change and request permission when you choose to use it.
The welcome page is bundled locally. Privacy, Terms and Support are HTTPS pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages and displayed in WKWebView. These legal pages require an internet connection and contain no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, cookies or forms. An ephemeral website data store prevents persistent browsing cookies. Only approved legal-page URLs can load in the viewer.
Learning information remains on your device until you clear it or remove the app. We operate no remote learning-data storage. Cloudflare processes ordinary web-request data, such as IP address, request time, URL and browser information, to deliver and secure these pages under its own retention policies. We do not control Cloudflare infrastructure logs or receive your saved learning notes through these page requests. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ for its policy. Your device or iCloud backup settings may independently retain app data under Apple’s policies. We do not operate those backups.
Review your progress in Journal. Edit or empty a lesson note to update or delete it. Toggle a bookmark to remove it. Use Settings → Clear all learning data and confirm Delete all data to remove all saved state. Cancel leaves it unchanged. Because we do not receive your data, we cannot retrieve it, restore a deleted note or identify a remote account. You can contact the verified support channel, once supplied, for a privacy question.
This learning material is intended for people aged 13 and older; this minimum age is a default product policy and is separate from the App Store age-rating questionnaire. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. All chart prices are synthetic educational examples. The app is not an investment advisory service.
We rely on the iOS app sandbox for local separation. No system can guarantee absolute security; protect your device and backups. A change to processing or online features requires an updated policy and, where applicable, permission before use. The date above identifies this version.
